A fault code tells us where the vehicle has detected a problem. It does not always tell us which part has failed. Professional diagnostics goes beyond plugging in a code reader: it combines the information from the vehicle with testing, technical knowledge and physical inspection.
How we investigate your vehicle
- Discuss the symptoms with you, including when the problem happens.
- Perform a diagnostic scan of the relevant vehicle systems.
- Analyse relevant fault codes and how they relate to the symptoms.
- Check live vehicle data to see what the systems are doing.
- Use wiring diagrams and technical repair information.
- Test wiring, signals, power supplies and components where required.
- Identify the actual cause of the problem.
- Explain the findings before further repair work.
Problems we can investigate
- Engine warning lights, intermittent warning lights and non-starting vehicles.
- ABS faults and airbag warnings.
- Parking sensor and camera faults.
- Battery drain and equipment that stops working.
- Communication faults between vehicle systems and control module faults.
- Electrical problems or systems behaving incorrectly after previous repairs.
Some faults appear only under particular conditions. A clear description of the symptoms helps us plan the investigation; further testing may be needed to reproduce an intermittent problem.
